The Liability
Mann

Independant. Evidence-based. Trusted.

Our story began in 1975 when our founder, Ken Mann, established Ken Mann and Company. Originally specialising in Road Accident Fund (RAF) investigations, the firm steadily expanded its expertise and knowledge base into the broader short-term insurance sector. Sid Mann later joined the company, and as the business evolved and grew, Ken Mann and Son CC was registered in 2001.

Later rebranded as Ken Mann Loss Adjusters (KMLA), the firm has built a distinguished reputation for excellence in assessing and loss adjusting. With a rich history spanning over three decades, we have remained dedicated to serving the short-term insurance industry since 1992. As highly experienced loss adjusters, we have developed a deep understanding of the industry’s intricacies and have garnered extensive expertise in handling a wide range of complex claims.

As KMLA expanded within the insurance sector and deepened its involvement with the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Southern Africa (ILASA), the firm carved out a highly specialised niche: liability investigations, with a particular focus on agriculture. Driven by the extensive experience of Sid Mann, KMLA’s agricultural liability services became an indispensable resource for insurers, ultimately inspiring the creation of The Liability Mann.

Now a dedicated division of KMLA, The Liability Mann specialises in all forms of insurance liability investigations, offering a unique advantage and deep expertise in the agricultural sector. Sid Mann actively mentors his team and associates, ensuring his decades of knowledge are passed down so that clients can rely on the division’s trusted expertise for many years to come.
